Monitoring Virtual Machine Performance

In this task, we are going to look the VM monitoring tools of vSenter server.

For this, I have gone to the VMs and templates option and selected a VM and went to performance option. 

Then went to the advanced option there I could see the real-time CPU usage.

Then I have clicked on the Chart options, I have selected CPU and in the time span I have selected Real-time, here I can see the customized monitoring only for CPU.

Then I have deselected the clone 3.

Then I have Click on None to deselect all selected counters in counters pan. Then selected Ready and Used options.

When I clicked ok I could see the CPU ready values on the dowd side of the screen. As well as when I have moved to the graph it shows me the values at that point.

That is all about the monitoring tools, we can also monitor other services like datastore, memory, disks etc. using this tool.
