Net702 - Lab 7: Using Elastic IPs

Elastic IP

Elastic IP is nothing but a public IP address using for the dynamic computing in AWS. Here in the project, I am attaching an Elastic IP address to my web server, so that it can be reachable on the internet publicly.  

I have allocated a new IP address from the elastic IP dashboard. 

Now I have to associate the IP with the web server instance, I have right clicked on the instance and associated it with the web server.

Then I have opened the website using the newly assigned elastic IP. It successfully opened and I foud the private IP of the web server in the web page.

For assign, the elastic IP for the newly created web server, right click on the IP and Associate Address and choose alternative WebServer (the one you created from the AMI image) and tick ‘Reassociation’, then click ‘Associate’.

Then the I found the IP has changed to the new web server's IP.
