Net701- VMware Lab 7

Creating Folders in VMware vCenter Server

Now I have added my ESXi host to my vCenter Server. Here in this lab we will have a look at how to create folders in vCenter server.

Here I am creating a host folder, which will contain host machines.

Here I have selected New host and Cluster folder and created a folder.

Then I have dragged and dropped the ESXi host in that folder. This folder will be useful when there is multiple ESXi Machines.

Then I have created two virtual machine folders called LabVMs and Templates.

The options on the host folder and VM folder are different, for host folder, it has the option to add Host and Cluster, whereas in VM's folder it has the option to add new Virtual Machine.
