Net701- VMware Lab1

Installing VMWare vSphere

This is my first blog about VMware, here I am starting to do my NET701 VMware project. As a first step to the VMware, we need a connection to the virtual environment, vSphere is the tool which provides this connection. We have to install the vSphere on the local computer (in this case it is my laptop) and dial in using the credentials of the VMware environment.

In my case, my institute has a VM environment I am using that as my backbone network to create my ESXi network. Basically, I have to install vSphere on my local computer to log into the backbone ESXi and I need a second vSphere to connect to my own ESXi.

It is a normal installation from the installation file, Once it got installed I have used the server name, username and password to login to the ESXi.

I am able to view the inventory in the ESXi.
